CRB launches Remote Cashless Catering in Cambeltown

A School in Cambeltown has started to operate a wireless cashless catering system after CRB solved the problem of how to operate POS terminals in the middle of the school hall where cabling was impractical.

CRB installed remote IMPACT POS terminals to solve the cabling conundrum. The terminals are powered by battery (which are charged up overnight) and networked by radio for real-time, online transaction.

Remote units and wireless communication can also solve the problem of multi-site schools. By sending a radio signal from building to building, IMPACT can retain the integrity of its online network without the need to cable across difficult terrain.
