Fingerprint Scanner
By using fingerprint recognition technology for user identification, it is now possible to eradicate the need for cards, along with their associated costs and management issues. This technology is totally reliable and fast enough for a busy dining room environment and, as such, provides the perfect cardless alternative. The software behind the system uses a mathematical algorithm to convert the fingerprint image (which itself is not retained) into digital data, which is then used to identify users both at POS and at the Revaluation Units.
Control Unit
At the heart of IMPACT is the Control Unit where the system is administered by a dedicated PC. We also provide a modem (for report dissemination and online support and upgrades), a printer and a backup drive.
The Control Unit is typically located in an administration office near the restaurant orkitchen, and is operated by a senior member of the catering team.

Revaluation Unit
The Revaluation Unit is built to our own design and specification and provides the perfect solution to secure, accurate and efficient cash collection and account management.
Although account balances can be credited by cheque, cash or even over the Internet, the Revaluation unit provides users with the ability to check their balance and load cash onto their accounts in a simple and accessible way. Revaluation units are typically located in a dining area, entrance hall or common room lobby.

Touchscreen POS Terminal
Touchscreen POS terminals have complete POS functionality and can also do more.
They are operated by touching ‘buttons’ which appear as graphics on the screenof these powerful units. The multiple screens available allow for multiple menus (during the same meal-time) and also enable the identification of users by on-screen filters (e.g. year, or class, and name).

Like all the other units it operates online, so that all transactions are immediately networked back to the PC where the relevant account and files are updated, recording every detail of the transaction.
